The University of Stavanger (UiS) is a dynamic, research-intensive institution located on the southwestern coast of Norway. UiS is committed to advancing innovation and societal development through high-quality research, education, and collaboration. The university places particular emphasis on interdisciplinary engagement and fosters partnerships at local, national, and international levels. As a proud member of the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU), UiS is actively engaged in addressing global challenges through transformative research and educational initiatives.
UiS’s contribution to this project will be led by the research group Education, Work and Social Cohesion (EduWorkSoCo). This interdisciplinary group conducts research on critical societal issues, including educational transitions, labour market integration, social inequality, welfare policy, and the interconnections between education systems and employment structures. Drawing on a range of disciplines such as sociology, political science, education, and social policy, EduWorkSoCo aims to enhance understanding of the mechanisms that foster inclusive and cohesive societies. The group is experienced in large-scale, comparative research and maintains a strong profile in both academic publishing and policy-relevant dissemination.
Within the scope of this project, EduWorkSoCo will contribute its expertise in the areas of youth transitions, social inclusion, education, and welfare policy. Through this engagement, the University of Stavanger seeks to support the project’s overarching goals by delivering robust, research-based insights into the institutional and social dynamics shaping inclusion and cohesion across Europe.
