Exciting news! EDU-LAB and NEXT-UP join forces and have successfully proposed a panel for the upcoming CHER conference. The panel´s title is:
Youth employability and labour market transitions: Insights from two Horizon Europe projects
The panel brings together emerging findings from the Horizon Europe projects NEXT-UP and EDU-LAB. It will examine how structural changes in education systems and labour markets are reshaping youth transitions from education to employment across Europe. The presentations address complementary dimensions of this relationship, including post-COVID institutional adaptation and skill formation dynamics, large-scale analyses of curriculum–labour market alignment using skills analytics, macro-level perspectives on tertiary education expansion and labour market equilibria, and cross-national typologies of school-to-work transitions. Together, the contributions provide a multidimensional understanding of employability, skills mismatches, and transition pathways, highlighting both persistent structural challenges and new opportunities for policy and institutional innovation in supporting young people’s labour market integration.
We will publish more details in the next weeks.
The conference will take place in Catania, Sicily 31 August – 2 September
